Corporate and legislative “Leadership” PACs and “dark money” 501(c) “charitable organizations” are flooding unaccountable money into our political system. We need meaningful campaign finance reform to ensure that the voices of average Americans are not drowned out by wealthy special interests.

Alaska has been home to Alaska Natives for more than 10,000 years. Half the federally recognized tribes in the country are in Alaska. I support state and federal recognition of their sovereign governmental status and equitable investment in our rural communities.

We must apply military force judiciously, act forcefully when necessary, and make defense spending decisions based on the best interests of the country and those serving in uniform, rather than the best interests of government defense contractors and their lobbyists.
